Episode Details

A small boy in a mining town in Arizona got chased home from school and beaten up, most days, by the bigger kid living next door. The man who ran the gas station on the corner watched it happen for weeks before deciding to step in, and what he did next was not what the boy's mother would have chosen on her own. Darren Hardy tells the story on DarrenDaily On-Demand, and the name at the end of it is one you have known your whole life, though nothing in the setup will give it away. Darren pulls three lessons out of it about confronting fear, the outside voice that arrives at the right moment, and why your past holds no authority over what you become next. One afternoon decided everything that followed.
