Episode Details

Mason lively is a singer-songwriter born in Victoria and raised in the small South Texas community of Inez. He picked up a guitar as a teenager and fell hard for songwriting, eventually developing a sound that blends Texas Country, Americana, Southern rock, and good old-fashioned storytelling.

He’s not only an incredible songwriter, but a hell of a performer and a road-tested musician who knows how to make every song feel authentic and lived-in. From his debut record Stronger Ties to building a catalog that has racked up millions of streams and releasing his latest 11-track album, The Hill Country Sound, Mason has continued to carve out his own lane in the Country and Americana scene.

His music can be gritty, vulnerable, rowdy, and everything in between — which is exactly why we love seeing him live.

Listen as we dive into The Hill Country Sound, the stories behind the songs, and his journey in music.
