Episode Details

A man named Fuller is lost in the Darkness between Dimensions with his companion, Tom Brenneman. As they stumble through the void, they see a blinking red light in the distance—a light that fades in and out, like the lure of an anglerfish. Fuller warns Tom that it is bait, a trap set by a horrific beast that has survived for a thousand years by luring in prey with the only light in the darkness. But the light is not just a lure—it is the Light of Reality, a beacon that will pull them back into their native multiverse. As they run toward it, they hear a sound growing louder and realer, and they feel the waves of reality crashing over them. They are free. But when they emerge, they find themselves in the City of Adytum, surrounded by horrifically transmogrified Karcists and Kiraaks, shrouded in a sickly yellow mist. They have escaped the Darkness—but they have stumbled into a ceremony that may be far worse.

This is a story from the SCP Foundation universe—a tale of two men who escaped one nightmare only to find themselves in the middle of another. It is a story of the Darkness between Dimensions, the Light of Reality, and the things that wait in the spaces beyond our world.
