Black History Month Edition: Two Generations, One Legacy
Description
To mark Black History Month, Helen Evans is joined by Manchester United legends Viv Anderson and Wes Brown for an important conversation about football, progress and representation.
Viv reflects on becoming England's first Black senior men's international in 1978, the challenges he faced during his playing career and the people who helped him along the way. Wes shares his own experiences from a later generation and discusses how football and society have changed over time.
We also hear from Manchester United Women's goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce to discuss Black History Month from an American perspective, the figures who inspired her growing up and the importance of using sport as a platform for positive change.
