Episode Details

Auburn football is heading to Knoxville for its first true road test of the 2026 season, and there are storylines everywhere heading into this SEC matchup against Tennessee.

Alex Golesh returns to Neyland Stadium after previously serving as Tennessee’s offensive coordinator under Josh Heupel. He will not be the only familiar face making the trip. Kodi Burns and Tim Banks also have recent Tennessee connections, making this one of the most interesting coaching matchups on Auburn’s schedule.

But the reunion story is only part of what makes Auburn versus Tennessee fascinating.

Tennessee enters the matchup with true freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon running the offense. Brandon has already shown the athleticism, arm talent and running ability that made him such a highly regarded quarterback prospect. He has also shown some of the growing pains expected from a freshman playing the position in the SEC.
