BREAKING news ahead of Auburn football’s trip to Knoxville could make one of the biggest matchups of the game even more interesting.

Tennessee has lost experienced offensive lineman Wendell Moe Jr. for the season, creating another major question for an offensive line that just had a brutal afternoon protecting true freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon against Texas.

Now Auburn gets its opportunity.

The Volunteers entered the season with experience up front and expectations that the offensive line would make life easier for a freshman quarterback. Early rushing numbers looked impressive, but the Texas game exposed protection issues that Auburn will absolutely have to investigate.

Texas recorded ten sacks against Tennessee. Auburn may not have the exact personnel Texas has along its defensive front, but that does not mean the Tigers cannot borrow from the blueprint.

Stunts, pressure, communication problems and negative plays could become a massive part of this matchup.
