Description
Chatham Baroque opens their 35th season with Confluence: A Pittsburgh America 250 Concert. Anna Singer spoke with guest artist Chris Norman (flutes & pipes), soprano Pascale Beaudin, and Scott Pauley (guitars & theorbo) live on the QED Afternoon Show about the program.
Confluence is a celebration of America's 250th anniversary, with music from the era of the founding fathers. Chris will play four different instruments and explains wooden flute-making. Scott talks about how European traditions, including English, Irish, Scottish, and French folk tunes converged at the birth of our nation. Pascale also discusses the pieces she'll sing, including an aria from one of the first North American operas.
Chatham Baroque will present Confluence at three different venues October 2nd - 4th. Performance details and tickets are available on Chatham Baroque's website.
