The Third Pillar — The High Priestess | Astrology Ride of the Day
Description
The pillars are everywhere once you start looking. Rafiki digs into the two pillars of the High Priestess, Boaz and Jachin, and finds the trail leading straight to the Freemasons. Mental fills in the missing piece: there are three pillars, not two. Boaz stands for strength, Jachin for beauty, and the third for wisdom. Paul asks whether the High Priestess herself is that third pillar, sitting between the two. The black and white columns lead to the Masonic checkerboard floor, a picture of duality: day and night, left brain and right brain, the beauty of the light and the strength that comes out of the dark. Then the scroll in her lap. If the Torah is the body of law that governs both the spiritual and the physical universe, which law is it? Karma, the law of attraction, reflection, harmony, and the 42 laws of Maat, all of which come down to balance. From Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva to Isis, Osiris and Horus to mind, body and soul, there's a trinity in everything. Mental closes it out: it's the same story told over and over, and it was always about you. Know thyself. Balance your energy.
Takeaways
- The High Priestess sits between Boaz (strength, the black pillar) and Jachin (beauty, the white pillar). She's the third pillar, wisdom, holding the balance between them.
- Black and white pillars and the Masonic checkerboard floor point to the same lesson about duality. Light and dark, day and night, left brain and right brain all need each other.
- The law on her scroll is universal law. Karma, attraction, reflection, harmony and the 42 laws of Maat all teach balance with the cosmos.
- Trinities show up in every tradition, from Hindu to Christian to Egyptian. The ancient stories were never about distant characters. They were maps of you.
