A major overhaul of Australia's NDIS has begun with the introduction of the Thriving Kids program, designed to support children aged eight and younger with mild to moderate autism or developmental delay outside the NDIS scheme. Current NDIS access will remain unchanged until January 2028, giving governments 15 months to establish the replacement system.
