Episode Details

Denver Nuggets shake up their depth chart by signing Ryan Nembhard to a two-way deal and waiving KJ Simpson just as training camp heats up. Can Nembhard fill the backup point guard void, or will his struggles with shooting and playmaking from his Dallas Mavericks stint linger in Denver? The conversation spotlighted the puzzling choice to limit Marvin Bagley III to backup center minutes rather than unlocking his potential at power forward—despite his athleticism and prowess in the dunker spot.

Coaching staff optimism centers on a new strategy: aggressive offensive rebounding designed to bolster the defense by slowing opponents’ transition attacks. The discussion explored David Adelman’s vision for rotation roles, the readiness of rookies like Trevin Brazile and Bryce Hopkins, and whether Alpha Diallo or Spencer Jones can step up defensively. Is this the formula Denver needs to climb the NBA’s defensive rankings and make another deep playoff run?
