🎙️ The fight everybody at 140 wants may come down to the oldest opponent in boxing: MONEY.
Shakur Stevenson wants WBA champion Gary Antuanne Russell. Russell wants Shakur. Gary Russell Jr. says negotiations are active—but when FightHype asked whether $2 million would be enough, the answer was a flat NO.
But here’s the twist: Team Russell says the actual figure presented wasn’t even $2 million, while the widely circulated $2M number originated with Timothy Bradley. BoxingNews24 notes that Dan Rafael had reported contact with PBC but no purse amount was disclosed, making $2M Bradley’s claim rather than a verified offer. Boxing News 24
Then we preview Orlando’s October 2 DAZN card as Olympic medalist Omari Jones faces Alan Sanchez in an eight-round junior-middleweight main event. Fight Freaks Unite
