Moderna Falls; Robinhood, Target Fluctuate
Description
Today's biggest winners and losers in the stock market.
On this episode of Stock Movers:
- Moderna Inc. (MRNA) shares fell the most in a month on Wednesday as a Citigroup Inc. analyst recommended selling the stock, saying its current valuation is “unjustifiable” following an outsized rally. The vaccine maker has been on a tear this year, with most of the stock’s near 600% surge coming off the back of positive data from the firm’s cancer vaccine with Merck & Co. in August.
- Robinhood Markets (HOOD) shares fluctuated after the company partnered with Cboe Global Markets, as it plans to launch a new category of SEC-regulated binary contracts tied to company-specific key performance indicators in October, with Robinhood serving as the first retail broker to offer the products.
- Target (TGT) stocks slightly dipped after HSBC raised the recommendation on retailer to buy from hold. Target shares are up 60% this year through Tuesday’s close.
