Feast of St. Michael, St. Raphael, and St. Gabriel. 9.29.26.

This homily is about the archangels Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael and the purpose God gave each of them. It explains that God, who needs nothing, created the angels to share in his glory and to help draw humanity back to him. Michael, whose name means "Who is like God?", fights the enemy; Gabriel is the messenger who brought Mary the plan of heaven; and Raphael is the healer who journeyed with Tobit. The message is that we are not alone in the spiritual battle, and that Satan has already lost. It invites us to ask each archangel for help, whether in understanding Scripture, sharing the faith with a friend, or finding healing.
