DD267 - The Fault Line

Description

Daily Dominance DD267 — The Fault Line. Based on Brian Tracy's telling of Alexander the Great before the Battle of Gaugamela: Alexander studied Darius's million-man Persian army and saw what nobody else saw. It was not one army. It was roughly 30 armies, levies from all over the empire, with different languages, different cultures, different battle formations. The only thing binding them together was loyalty to Darius. Remove the binding agent and the entire coalition splits. The business lesson: every monolith in business, the dominant competitor, the huge market, the impossible obstacle, is actually a fragile coalition. Find the fault line. Attack the seam, not the mass. Big things come apart at their joints. The giant you fear is a group of factions pretending to be one. If you like what you heard today, DM Adam J Carswell on LinkedIn. That's it.
