A Most Inconvenient Devotion - Chapter 6 | Fanfiction Adaptation + Discussion
Description
A Most Inconvenient Devotion: an original adaptation of Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Love by isthisselfcare — Chapter 6 — Professor Takahashi
A false alarm sends Draco racing to Hermione’s cottage before dawn, only to discover that the apparent crisis is something far less deadly—and considerably more embarrassing. Their increasingly easy correspondence soon leaves Draco confronting an even stranger problem: Hermione Granger has somehow become the standard against which everyone else seems rather dull.
When Hermione speaks at a Muggle medical conference in Oxford, Draco arrives as her reluctant security detail and finds himself unexpectedly impressed by both her brilliance and the world she moves through. An evening of doctors, pub trivia, whisky, and dangerously sincere compliments pushes their friendship into territory neither of them is quite prepared to examine.
