Episode Details

UNC Tar Heels add a proven sharpshooter in Angelo Brizzi, aiming to strengthen their backcourt depth for the upcoming ACC season. Will Brizzi’s 3-point prowess—after averaging 14.5 points and 37% from deep at Buffalo—translate to success in Chapel Hill? His journey from Villanova to Davidson, Longwood, and Buffalo has shaped him into the Tar Heels’ grizzled veteran, and his competitive fire may give UNC a much-needed spark off the bench.

Isaac Schade and Jonathan Adams examine Brizzi’s fit behind the Tar Heels’ starting guards, his battle with Isaiah Denis and Jaydon Young for rotation minutes, and his impact as a reliable catch-and-shoot threat. Exploring the challenges of mid-major transfers, the hosts debate Brizzi’s defensive upside, free-throw reliability, and potential to become UNC’s top 3-point shooter by percentage. Can Brizzi carve out a consistent role and help fuel UNC’s tournament ambitions?
