The Brisbane 2032 Olympic emblem is being unveiled piece by piece across Queensland as part of a week-long statewide reveal. NRL legends Sam Thaiday and Jonathan Thurston revealed the second piece in Townsville, following the first piece unveiled by Ian Thorpe at the Great Barrier Reef. Multinational group BESIX Watpac and John Holland has been named as the preferred joint contractors to build the new 63,000-seat Brisbane stadium, with construction potentially beginning in the coming months.
