New tool tackles Australia's death literacy crisis

La Trobe University and the Death Literacy Institute have developed Ready Connect, an online tool designed to improve Australians' preparedness for end-of-life planning and death. National research surveying 3,000 people revealed that two-thirds haven't discussed end-of-life wishes with their families, 63% don't know what to do when someone dies at home, and 48% don't have a will. The tool provides tailored feedback on death literacy and connects users to services and support groups, including local death cafes and education programmes happening across Australia.
