Episode Details

Miami Heat training camp is underway, and Day 1 offered our first clues about what Erik Spoelstra has planned for Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo.

Wes Goldberg and David Ramil break down everything they saw and heard from the Heat’s first practice, including a brutally difficult opening session that left players drenched — and Spoelstra encouraged by the conditioning his team brought into camp.

Then, we get into the basketball. Davion Mitchell and Bam expect Miami to switch aggressively on defense, while Spo revealed how the Heat could use Bam and Giannis both on and off the ball in pick-and-roll coverages. Could their versatility eliminate one of the easiest ways opponents attack traditional big lineups? Plus, Bobby Portis’ battles, his dinners with Udonis Haslem, Klay Thompson’s eventful practice and the rookie who beat Klay in a shooting contest.
