Season 10 Episode 105
This week’s Say Yes to Holiness podcast 1:1 Conversation is with Samantha Povlock, Founder, CEO, and Editor in Chief of FemCatholic.
Samantha is the Founder, CEO, and Editor in Chief of FemCatholic. FemCatholic is a nonprofit organization that seeks to educate, encourage. and empower women, and believe that the greatest untapped resource in the world, and in the Church - is women.
Our conversation revolved around Samantha's personal story and how her passion for sharing the Good News morphed into a movement to help women explore the reality between their daily lives and the truth of the faith.
After Samantha graduated from the University of Notre Dame with degrees in business and theology, she started her career in Chicago working in consulting and project management, but now currently lives in Greater Philadelphia with her husband, Matt, and three kids.
In addition to the Samantha's personal story, we also spoke about the FemCatholic's 3-part strategy to educate, encourage and empower women to live integrated and holistic lives.
They educate through sharing what the Catholic Church actually teaches about what it means to be female, and how women are needed in the Church + the world.
FemCatholic knows life as a Catholic woman can be complicated, so they encourage women to explore and acknowledge the challenges of being a woman in the Church today, and seek answers in the truth of our faith.
Finally, they empower women to know that your Catholic faith is something empowering to you as a modern women - and that you have an irreplaceable role in the world.
This conversation with Samantha filled me with such hope and encouragement for how women are being encountered and being invited to SAY YES to God's invitation to live an abundant life.
I truly pray that this conversation helps you do WHATEVER IT TAKES to either fully become the woman that God created you to be, or to help a woman you love do the same.
