The Reserve Bank of Australia has raised the cash rate by 25 basis points to 4.6%, marking a 15-year high and the fourth interest rate increase this year. The AFL premiership-winning Brisbane Lions were given a hero's welcome back, with thousands of die-hard fans celebrating their victory amongst the players, whilst their coach received the key to the city. More than 1,000 people have been evacuated from one of the Gold Coast's most popular family resorts, Paradise Resort.
