Description
I liked yesterday’s episode, I think it was an actually valuable discussion. So much so, I might re-record it for Substack.
Is the market about to correct? Wouldn’t be a surprise at all… unless you don’t follow these things.https://www.bnnbloomberg.ca/investing/opinion/2026/09/17/dont-fight-the-fed-opportunity-coming-up-brooke-thackray/-Markets tend to decline in October, I’ve noted this before. Usually turns around at the end of October.-Midterm election year-Sixth year of Trump Presidential Cycle (meaning he can’t get re-elected): check Stock Traders Almanac or Equity Clock-Let’s look at the Stock Tracker-What about Bitcoin? (4-yr cycle)-How does inflation work? Why would they target a lower inflation rate? Costs to borrow (business lending, Lines of Credit, business credit cards) go up if the Fed Funds Rate goes up, that is then passed onto the consumer which is looked at by investors (angle money?) that needs to re-figure their outlook and valuation of the company, particularly an anticipation of weaker sales, higher financing costs, and lower overall profits. Investors (big and small alike) can therefore revalue the company, sell some of their positions, hedge (with options), or reduce their own borrowing). This then can lead to a sell-off. -In any event, lower inflation doesn’t mean lower prices BUT… it can mean more sales! That is, a cheaper competitor can move in, the company can run a discount, etc.
And you’re known for what you publish, so publish more! How many things can you actually do at once? (An intro to working with AI agents through the terminal.)
