A Most Inconvenient Devotion - Chapter 4 | Fanfiction Adaptation + Discussion
Description
A Most Inconvenient Devotion: an original adaptation of Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Love by isthisselfcare — Chapter 4 — The Asterisk Holiday
Draco’s curiosity about Hermione’s mysterious “asterisk holidays” finally gets the better of him when an Imbolc trip to Somerset reveals a pattern hidden in her schedule. What begins as a convenient excuse to escape his mother’s matchmaking tea soon becomes an unexpectedly entertaining day of rain, Muggle travel, woodland searching, and questions Hermione has no intention of answering.
Between a disastrous Apparition into a moving Mini, an overly enthusiastic Sneakoscope, and Draco’s questionable attempt at Muggle fashion, the pair settle into their familiar rhythm of irritation and reluctant amusement. But a quieter exchange about the past briefly strips away the banter, revealing how much has changed—and how much remains difficult to say aloud.
