What does cancer mean to a child?

In this episode, Lisa is joined by Dave and Stephanie, parents to six-year-old Elliott and three-year-old Oliver. Dave was diagnosed with neuroendocrine cancer just one month before they discovered they were expecting Elliott, meaning cancer has been part of their family story from the very beginning.

They talk openly about how you explain cancer to young children when you don't always have all the answers yourself, why they have chosen not to use the word ‘cancer’ with their boys yet, and how children can process difficult experiences in ways we don't always expect.
