DD266 - The One Target

Published 1 week, 4 days ago
Description

Daily Dominance DD266 — The One Target. Based on Brian Tracy's telling of Alexander the Great at the Battle of Gaugamela: Alexander had 50,000 men. Darius of Persia had a million. His own generals admitted the odds were 20 to 1. Alexander told them: we are not going to fight the whole army. Tomorrow we do one thing. We go kill Darius. That million-man army was only held together by loyalty to one man, so the single decisive target was the leader, not the mass. The business lesson: stop trying to fight the whole market at once. Identify the one target, the one client, the one relationship, the one deal, the one channel that collapses everything else when you win it. Concentration of force beats dispersion every time. One clear objective, communicated to everyone who has to execute it. If you like what you heard today, DM Adam J Carswell on LinkedIn. That's it.
