Adelaide defence site earmarked for 400 new homes

The Federal and State Governments are negotiating to transform Hampstead Barracks at Greenacres, a seven-hectare defence site in Adelaide, into approximately 400 new homes including apartments, townhouses, a public park and community facilities. The Prime Minister visited Adelaide to announce the housing plan aimed at helping first homebuyers locked out of the market. Meanwhile, AVJennings has withdrawn from its 1900-home Eyre project between Edinburgh and Andrews Farm, with Renewal SA taking over to find a new developer.
