Martina the Cockroach
Published 1 month ago
Description
This story follows a charming cockroach named Martina who decides to find a husband after discovering a gold coin while cleaning her home. She uses her newfound wealth to purchase perfume and enhance her appearance, attracting various animal suitors including a cat, rooster, frog, and dog. Martina rejects these candidates because their loud and jarring vocalizations do not meet her requirement for a quiet partner. Her search concludes happily when she meets a polite mouse whose soft, whistling voice captures her heart. The two celebrate their wedding surrounded by friends and begin a peaceful life together. This folk tale retelling emphasizes the importance of compatibility and finding someone who brings harmony to one's environment.
