A Most Inconvenient Devotion - Chapter 1 | Fanfiction Adaptation + Discussion
Description
A Most Inconvenient Devotion: an original adaptation of Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ordeal of Being in Love by isthisselfcare — Chapter 1 — The Principal
Draco Malfoy has built a respectable career as an Auror, but his latest protection assignment presents a complication no amount of professional experience can make comfortable: the Principal is Hermione Granger. Fifteen years after the war, their reunion at her Cambridge laboratory is every bit as tense, sharp, and stubbornly competitive as either of them might have expected.
When Draco challenges Hermione to prove her laboratory can withstand a determined intruder, a routine security assessment becomes a battle of wards, wits, and unfamiliar Muggle technology. Neither seems particularly willing to concede that the other may actually be very good at what they do.
