Episode Details

Houston Cougars’ explosive offense commands attention as Connor Wegman leads six straight touchdown drives, raising expectations for the Big 12 stretch. With standout performances from Amari Thomas, Pat Overmeyer, and a dynamic backfield duo of Rayshawn Safer and Makai Hughes, the Cougars’ attack emerges as one of the conference’s most versatile. Is this the best Houston offensive line since the Peach Bowl run?

The conversation focused on growing concerns with Houston’s defense after Georgia Southern matched Texas Tech’s point total, exposing issues in pass rush and coverage fundamentals. Key themes include adjustments needed in defensive schemes, the impact of two-quarterback systems, and what truly translates from non-conference play as Houston prepares to face the UCF Knights.
