Your Life Looks Good on Paper—So Why Does Something Still Feel Missing? | Kirana Sidin

Description

What if having a life that looks good from the outside isn’t the same as having a good life?

Kirana Sidin is an author, strategic life coach, and certified counselor practitioner whose work centers on intentional living, personal growth, relationships, and the everyday choices that shape our lives.

In this conversation, Kirana explains why she believes a good life isn’t simply a successful career, impressive achievements, plenty of money, or a life with fewer problems. Drawing on Aristotle’s concept of eudaimonia, she describes a good life as something that feels meaningful from the inside and continues to be built through ordinary, intentional choices.

Kirana shares the moment that prompted her to reconsider her own life: her youngest son, then seven years old, called her “jobless.” Although she says she was happy and had a wonderful family, the comment made her reflect on whether she was actually building something that felt truly hers.

From there, we explore her Good Life Framework—self-respect, purpose, meaningful relationships, and continuous growth.

We also discuss the difference between intentional living and turning life into another productivity project, how external validation can influence our choices, why relationships can cause us to gradually lose our own voice, and what Stoicism can teach us about emotions and accepting what we cannot control.

Kirana’s central idea is simple:

A good life isn’t something we find. It’s something we build—one intentional choice at a time.
