Newcastle United captain Dan Burn is aiming to return for the trip to Coventry City on Monday 12 October, according to Andy Turner’s report for CoventryLive, which carries Burn’s own comments to Newcastle’s matchday programme. Burn rolled his ankle in training before Newcastle’s opening day draw with Liverpool, is out of his cast and building strength, and is not expected to go straight back into the starting eleven. There was no fresh news out of Coventry City itself, and no Sky Blues football until the international break ends. Joel Latibeaudiere is with Jamaica, who host Honduras in Kingston on Monday night local time, and Taiwo Awoniyi is with a Nigeria squad away in Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday. There is nothing further from the club on Oliver Dovin, who is being treated at Coventry for the shoulder injury announced on Friday. Play Up, Sky Blues!
