Three killed in Stawell highway crash

Description
A fatal three-vehicle collision on the Western Highway near Stawell in western Victoria has claimed three lives. A learner driver in a ute attempted to overtake a truck but mistimed the manoeuvre, colliding head-on with an oncoming car and killing both occupants, before a 14-year-old girl who was a passenger in the learner driver's vehicle died from critical injuries. The learner driver's mother and 11-year-old brother were also in the car but escaped serious injury.
