Five men have been arrested on suspicion of planning a terror attack near RAF base Fairford, a British military installation used by American forces. Three white vans, believed to be carrying explosives, were intercepted in the early hours of the morning as they approached the base. Counter-terror police are investigating the plot, which is suspected of being linked to Iran, following threats from the Iranian Guard Corps that any base used for aggression against Iranian territory would be considered a legitimate target.
