Eli Clifton is a senior advisor at the Quincy Institute and Investigative-Journalist-at-Large at Responsible Statecraft. Follow him on Twitter @EliClifton.

Ian Lustick is an American political scientist and specialist on the modern history and politics of the Middle East. He is the Bess W. Heyman Professor Emeritus in the Political Science Department at the University of Pennsylvania and a non-resident fellow at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft.
