Episode Details

Bengt Washburn – Being Bilingual Is Basically A Superpower Full Special takes a hilarious look at language, culture and the unexpected advantages of understanding more than one way of communicating. Speaking two languages sounds useful. But sometimes the real entertainment begins when people don't realise you understand what they're saying.

Suddenly private conversations aren't quite so private, translations become suspiciously flexible, and you discover just how differently people behave when they think nobody around them understands them. Bengt turns language barriers, cultural differences, misunderstandings and everyday communication into smart observational comedy about what happens when two worlds collide. Press play for Bengt Washburn – Being Bilingual Is Basically A Superpower Full Special and enjoy hilarious stand-up about language, people and the things we probably shouldn't say when we're not completely sure who can understand us.
