The Abbott And Costello Show - "Trip to Palm Springs with Veronica Lake" (Old Time Radio, 1943)
Published 3 weeks ago
Description
The Abbott And Costello Show presents “Trip to Palm Springs with Veronica Lake,” originally broadcast December 2, 1943. In this Camel-sponsored NBC comedy, Bud Abbott and Lou Costello are joined by guest star Veronica Lake, with vocalist Connie Haines.
Bud and Lou set out for Palm Springs to persuade Lake to appear in their next picture, but a rental-car mix-up, the Lone Palm Hotel, and a desert movie-location atmosphere ensure that the trip does not go smoothly.
The Abbott And Costello Show presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
