Today, I was trying to continue playing The World’s Game, but things didn’t exactly go as planned. The game would load halfway and then refuse to take me into the match. I waited for several minutes, hoping it would eventually load, but nothing happened. I had no choice but to restart the game, only to come back and see a message from FC Mobile telling me that I had forfeited the match. 😭 I tried again, thinking maybe it was just a one-time issue, but the exact same thing happened. I restarted the game multiple times, hoping it would finally cooperate, but it kept loading halfway and refusing to enter the match. At that point, I gave up on The World’s Game and decided to run to Head 2 Head instead because, honestly, I was already in the mood to play some football and I wasn't going to let the game completely ruin that feeling. I started the Head 2 Head match, but almost immediately, I noticed something was wrong. The game was lagging badly, and my network connection was clearly struggling. It got especially frustrating whenever I got close to the opponent’s goalkeeper. Every time I created a good opportunity and tried to make a move around the keeper, the game would suddenly freeze or delay my controls until the opportunity was completely gone.
This happened multiple times, and I was getting more frustrated with every missed chance. Imagine creating a good attack, getting into a dangerous position, and then your game decides to freeze at the exact moment you need it the most.😭 Normally, I would have been tempted to just leave the match and move on, but I couldn't do that because I knew quitting would count as an automatic loss. So I decided to stay until the final whistle. I kept telling myself that even if I was already close to the dying minutes of the match, there was still a chance I could score a goal and somehow change the situation. That little hope was basically the only thing keeping me in the game. But I didn't realize that my network connection had even worse plans for me.
At some point, my concentration dropped and I conceded a goal. The goal was beautifully scored by Nico Williams from the opponent’s team, and honestly, I didn't even know how I was supposed to react. Should I be angry? Should I just accept the situation and move on? Or should I keep hoping that some kind of miracle would happen? I decided to keep playing. The problem was that I was still dealing with the same network issues, and playing under that kind of pressure made everything even more difficult. My movements weren't as smooth as they should have been, my reactions were delayed, and there were moments where I felt like I was fighting both my opponent and my own internet connection at the same time. 😂
As the match continued, I became more confused and frustrated, and eventually, I made a mistake that was going to be extremely difficult to recover from. At that point, I felt like the match was slowly slipping away from me. I started desperately trying to defend and eventually found myself spamming the slide button, hoping I could somehow stop the opponent’s attack. Unfortunately, that decision backfired badly. I ended up fouling a player inside my own box, giving the opponent a penalty. The moment I saw the penalty being awarded, I already knew I was in serious trouble. 😭 I still had a tiny bit of hope that if I could somehow prevent the penalty from going in, I could push for an equalizer and maybe finish the game with both teams sharing the points. But that hope disappeared almost immediately when the opponent converted the penalty.
At that point, I was seriously annoyed. The game was already getting close to the final whistle, and I really didn't want to lose without scoring a single goal. I wasn't comfortable with the idea of uploading a match where I
