Pierre Kory, M.D., MPA. joins the Hipp Doctors us in the Cafe
Description
Pierre Kory, M.D., MPA, is a pulmonary and critical care physician, former Chief of Critical Care and Medical Director of the Trauma and Life Support Center at the University of Wisconsin, and a pioneer in point-of-care ultrasound. He co-founded the Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance and testified twice before the U.S. Senate.
In August 2026, a federal judge granted a preliminary injunction in Kory v. Bonta, blocking California medical boards from investigating or disciplining him and co-plaintiffs based on the viewpoints they share with patients about COVID-19.
He is joined by fellow “Hipp Doctors”—physicians who risked their careers to honor the Hippocratic Oath.
Dr. My Le Trinh, an Australian GP with nearly 30 years of practice and a refugee who fled Cambodia and Vietnam, was suspended after treating COVID patients with early therapies she believed could save lives. She has spent years fighting regulators while continuing her legal challenge.
Dr. Bruce Paix, an Australian anaesthetist, retrieval specialist, and RAAF Wing Commander with seven overseas deployments, spent 32 years saving lives in helicopters and hospitals before professional sanctions followed his public questions about pandemic policy.
Dr. Paul Oosterhuis, a Sydney-trained anaesthetist and critical care physician with more than three decades of experience, was among the first Australian doctors suspended over social media posts defending informed consent and early treatment. He later won his registration back after a Supreme Court fight.Together they represent doctors who put patients first when institutions demanded silence.

In a purely commercial sense, the smart move would be to lock everything behind a paywall. Why do all this work and give it away for free?Because we’re not a normal podcast. We’re closer to an online community — and a lot of people in this community are doing it really hard. Some of us are living in tents. We simply can’t, in good conscience, cut those people off because they can’t afford a subscription. So instead of going fully paid, we want to say this:To everyone who already supports the work — thank you. You are the only reason we’re still able to keep going. And if you regularly take something from what we put out, and you can comfortably afford to chip in, we’d be genuinely grateful if you did.Your support doesn’t just keep the lights on. It keeps this space open for the people who need it most.Thank you for being here.Kelli and MichaelCafe Locked Outhttps://cafelockedout.com/donate/
