The Takács Quartet to Open Chamber Music Pittsburgh's Season

The Takács Quartet will open the 2026-2027 Chamber Music Pittsburgh season on Monday, September 28th! Jim Cunningham speaks with violist Richard O'Neill and cellist Mihai Marica about the program.

The concert features Beethoven's String Quartet No. 6, Op. 18, Carlos Simon's Warmth from Other Suns, and concludes with Brahms's String Quartet No. 1, Op. 51. Richard and Mihai share their favorite moments in the program and talk about the history of the Takács Quartet, which recently celebrated its 50th year.
