Prior to the release on Questioning Techniques, the interviewer needs to realize that both episodes recently released were not on how to collect information.

BUT LEO!  HOLD ON!  You said an interview is all about collecting information!  Thoroughly gathering facts!

That's right.  But let's not put the cart before the horse.

If you skip Planning & Prep and Rapport Building, questioning techniques lose relevance.  Be a brilliant questioner with no rapport, and expect a demand for an attorney.

Two full episodes on developing an understanding of your suspect tells you a lot - it's the most important part.  Gathering info is great, and impossible without a horse to pull that cart.
