Avoid 2027 Coverage Gaps: Check Your Medicare Advantage Plan

Published 1 week, 1 day ago
Description

🚨 **600,000+ Medicare Advantage members are already facing major plan changes for 2027, and that number could continue to grow.**

If you have a Medicare Advantage plan, this is one year you do **not** want to simply assume your coverage, doctors, costs, or benefits will stay the same.

Some plans are leaving markets. Some Medicare Advantage members may have to choose new coverage. PPO options are changing in some areas. And if your current plan is affected, waiting too long to find out could create a very unpleasant surprise when the new year begins.

In this LIVE Q&A, I’ll explain what Medicare Advantage members need to watch for, what notices you should be looking for, the important dates coming up, and why checking your 2027 coverage may be more important this year than ever.

📅 **October 1, 2026:** You can begin comparing available Medicare health and drug plan options for 2027.

📅 **October 15 – December 7, 2026:** Medicare Open Enrollment. This is when you can join, switch, or drop Medicare Advantage and Medicare drug coverage for 2027. Changes made during this period generally take effect January 1.

⚠️ **Do not assume that because you like your current plan, you can simply keep everything exactly the same next year. Check your Annual Notice of Change and confirm your doctors, hospitals, prescriptions, network and costs.**

☎️ **Need help checking your Medicare options?**

You can begin reviewing 2027 options starting October 1, and Medicare Open Enrollment begins October 15.
