Merry Christmas, Mr. Carroll!
Published 1 month, 1 week ago
Description
This children's book reimagines Charles Dickens’ classic holiday tale through the perspective of Alvin and the Chipmunks. Initially, Alvin displays a selfish attitude by obsessing over his massive wish list and neglecting his chores, which results in him ruining the neighbor's property and missing a mail deadline. To correct his behavior, he is visited by three mystical spirits who take the form of his family members to show him the past, present, and a frighteningly greedy future. Witnessing the loneliness of his neighbor, Mr. Carroll, and his own potential gluttony transforms Alvin's perspective on the season. He eventually learns that the true meaning of Christmas lies in generosity rather than receiving gifts. By the story's end, Alvin demonstrates his newfound kindness by inviting his neighbor to dinner and sharing presents with others.
