I cancelled something this week that I had publicly declared I was going to do.

And it wasn’t because it failed or because nobody signed up (they did) or because I couldn't deliver it.

I cancelled a masterclass I'd already announced, built, promoted and had people registered for because I finally admitted something to myself:

I didn't actually want to bloody do it.

Which is really bloody annoying when you're the woman who bangs on about doing the damn thing!

So I had to ask myself a much harder question:

Was I trusting myself, or was I just dressing fear up as intuition?

Because sometimes “this doesn't feel aligned” is absofuckinglutely wisdom. It can be.

And sometimes it's avoidance wearing really fucking good branding.

In this episode, I'm taking you inside the decision I made and the rabbit hole it sent me down around self-trust, confidence, identity and the templates we unconsciously follow.

I'm talking about what happens when learning from brilliant people subtly turns into abandoning your own knowing.

About the difference between questioning your work and questioning the route you've been told you're supposed to take to get there.

About the invisible blueprints we're handed for business, success, motherhood, relationships, ambition, ageing and what a “good” life is supposed to look like.

And about why I've started questioning whether we've misunderstood confidence altogether.

Because maybe confidence isn't “I know this will work.”

Maybe it's “I trust myself even though I don't know whether this will work.”

I also talk about why belonging has become such a huge part of the rooms I want to create, why I'm heading to Ibiza despite the very real financial pressure I'm navigating, and what all of this has taught me about the kind of business and body of work I actually want to build.

And, inevitably, we come back to evidence.

Because you don't build self-trust by writing I trust myself in your journal 100 times 3 times a day.

You build it by making actual decisions.

Keeping promises to yourself.

Saying no when you said you'd say no.

Asking for help.

Changing your mind.

Choosing differently.

Creating receipts.

And yes, cancelling the masterclass became another receipt for the very identity work I teach 😂

In this episode, I explore:

  • How to tell the difference between self-trust and avoidance
  • What happens when “best practice” becomes a template you never consciously chose
  • Why changing your mind can actually be evidence of self-trust
  • The relationship between confidence and trust
  • Why self-trust doesn't require certainty about the outcome
  • How our environments shape who we allow ourselves to be
  • Why your old identity has years of evidence and your new one needs some
  • How real-world action creates the receipts that change your relationship with yourself
  • Why I believe identity work eventually has to leave the fucking journal

And I leave you with one question: If I trusted myself, what would I do next?

Not what would guarantee the right outcome or what your mentor would do or what Instagram says a seven-figure CEO does before breakfast.

What would YOU do next?

Because I'm starting to think self-trust isn't believing you'll always make the right decision.

It'
