I Said Chambliss Is The Best QB Since 2019. They Pushed Back. | Ole Miss vs Florida
Description
Steven Willis joined Richard Denson and Reuben on The 24th Floor to break down Ole Miss 32, LSU 24 — and made a claim the hosts immediately pushed back on.
"I went into that game thinking that Trinidad was the best quarterback in the SEC. I walked out of that game thinking about how Trinidad might be the best quarterback in the country, and might be the best quarterback in the country since 2019."
Since 2019 means past Caleb Williams, Bryce Young and CJ Stroud. Richard said the list out loud and did not buy it. That argument is the first five minutes.
The rest is less comfortable: a third-quarter problem that is now three weeks old, a running back room holding its breath, and a front seven that has not been let off the leash yet.
Three days. Saturday, September 26, 3:30 PM ET on ABC.

📌 THREE THINGS
1. The third quarter is now a pattern, not an incident. Louisville, Charlotte, LSU — three different opponents, same window. Fair caveat on the LSU version: the quarter opened with an LSU three-and-out and a sack, then an interception handed them a short field. It was a team lull, not purely a defensive one. It still has to get fixed before Gainesville.
2. Will Echoles had seven quarterback hurries and three tackles for loss, and per the PFF report the guard across from him graded a 12 in pass protection. The larger point: Ole Miss has one of the best front sevens in the SEC and has been keeping it on a leash to protect the secondary. Against LSU it came off.
3. Traylon Ray is the third weapon, and the math is what matters. This offense was down to Deuce Alexander and Caleb Odom — two names a coordinator can bracket. Ray makes three. If Johntay Cook II becomes four, there are not enough defensive backs to go around. Kewan Lacy remains a game-time decision; Makhi Frazier is expected back.
