Published 3 weeks, 2 days ago
Description
Our Miss Brooks presents “Minerva’s Kittens” (AFRS), episode 161, originally broadcast March 9, 1952. In this Armed Forces Radio Service version of the CBS comedy, Eve Arden stars as sharp-witted Madison High School teacher Connie Brooks, with Gale Gordon as Principal Osgood Conklin and Jeff Chandler as Philip Boynton.
When Mrs. Davis’s cat Minerva has a litter of eight kittens, Connie faces the practical challenge of finding them good homes. The search draws in Walter Denton, Mr. Boynton, and the distinctly cat-averse Mr. Conklin, bringing kitten-sized complications to Madison High and the Davis household.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
