Nolan Xavier Wells’s former friends need to be arrested immediately, Jax Pitalo, Morgan Seymour, Warren Hudson. In my opinion, we now have more than enough information to demand that investigators take a fresh look at whether probable cause exists in this case.
Benjamin Crump held a major press conference in Orlando, Florida, alongside digital forensic investigator Andrew Garrett of Garrett Discovery, revealing new findings from the forensic examination of Nolan’s cellphone.
The biggest revelation: Garrett confirmed that data was deleted from Nolan’s phone sometime after Nolan’s last activity on the device and before his parents recovered it. Garrett made clear that his forensic examination cannot determine who performed the deletions or their intent. That raises an enormous question: who deleted information from Nolan’s phone, and why?
Andrew Garrett says Mississippi District Attorney Angel Myers McIlrath had access to his forensic findings showing that data was deleted from Nolan Xavier Wells’s phone both before and after Nolan’s passing.
We also learned that investigators reconstructed Nolan’s cellphone movements throughout July 4 using digital and location data, providing a detailed timeline of where the phone traveled after Nolan was last seen.
Another major development came from the Mississippi State Medical Examiner’s autopsy report. The state officially classified Nolan’s cause and manner of passing as UNDETERMINED. The report documented no fluid or debris within the airways and an empty stomach, raising serious questions about how the grand jury concluded that the circumstances surrounding Nolan’s passing were consistent with drowning.
And there is still more coming.
Benjamin Crump announced that another press conference is expected next Thursday, where additional details surrounding the autopsy findings are expected to be discussed.
This case is not over. Nolan Xavier Wells and his family deserve answers.
