Measure S has become one of the biggest local issues on the Fresno County ballot. Supporters say it's necessary to maintain roads, sidewalks, and public transit after Measure C expires, while opponents contend county leaders should return to the drawing board and craft a different proposal. Fresno County voters will decide the issue in November. 

A new group called No on Measure S Fresno County has formally organized opposition to Fresno County's proposed 30-year, half-cent transportation sales tax, arguing that the measure spends too much on public transit and nonprofit programs and not enough on repairing roads.
