In Episode 13 of Blue Collared Banter, Ryan and Ken are finally back after a few weeks away—and apparently a lot can happen when you leave these two unsupervised for that long.

Ryan gives an update on the never-ending saga of his wedding plans, which have changed yet again. There’s talk of cruises, ridiculous wedding expenses, unexpected party favors, and the realization that sometimes the best financial decision is to completely change the plan.

From there, they get into overflowing cabinets, unnecessary appliance purchases, tripped breakers, and the disturbing realization that apparently everything in your house needs an app now. A story involving a customer and a smart refrigerator proves that giving people internet access on every appliance may have been a mistake.

Parenting, chores, and teaching kids basic life skills eventually lead into Beyond the Front Door, where the guys switch gears and talk about what homeowners should—and definitely shouldn’t—do when an HVAC technician is coming to their house.

After a few weeks off, Blue Collared Banter is back with wedding chaos, smart appliances being used for very dumb things, parenting struggles, and some advice from the other side of the service call.
