Music, theater, and a little bit of magic come together on an all-new episode of The Roundtable with Robert Bannon!

This week, Robert welcomes the incomparable Rufus Wainwright and seven-time GRAMMY-nominated composer, arranger, and conductor Chris Walden for a special conversation celebrating their album, I’m a Stranger Here Myself – Wainwright Does Weill.

Known for his unmistakable voice, theatrical brilliance, and ability to move effortlessly between pop, opera, and Broadway, Rufus takes on the extraordinary songbook of legendary composer Kurt Weill. With lush arrangements by Walden and the magnificent 40-piece Pacific Jazz Orchestra, the album breathes new life into classics including "Mack the Knife," "September Song," and "Lost in the Stars."

And Chris Walden? His résumé is something else! In addition to serving as lead music arranger for the Academy Awards, he has worked with music royalty including Barbra Streisand, Paul McCartney, Josh Groban, Michael Bublé, and Aretha Franklin.

Together, Rufus and Chris join Robert to discuss the making of the album, their creative collaboration, the enduring brilliance of Kurt Weill, and the art of bringing these timeless songs to a whole new generation.

It's a conversation about musical storytelling, extraordinary arrangements, and the beautiful intersection of Broadway, jazz, and orchestral music.
