Tami Fitzgerald, founder of the NC Values Coalition, joins Joseph Backholm to share the story behind the organization and the experiences that shaped her work in North Carolina politics. Tami reflects on her journey from practicing law and raising a family to leading efforts focused on life, family, religious freedom, and other issues at the state legislature. She also discusses lessons learned from more than a decade in politics, the role her Christian faith plays in her work, and why she believes these debates extend beyond politics. Looking ahead, Tami shares some of the issues NC Values plans to continue working on and the role supporters can play in the organization’s efforts.
